Alessandra's training begins with a warm-up phase to improve coordination, strength and body awareness in relation to the space and the other participants. The training aims to guide the development of an individual body approach. This is done through a series of improvisation exercises and simple partner exercises in which the participants become familiar with the concept of visualisation. With the help of images we will explore a certain body quality and movement. But we will also give space to creativity by finding our joy in movement and how we can transfer it to others. The course is open to all levels.
Dancer, choreographer and dance teacher. She has worked for over 20 years at various German state theatres, Bremen Theatre, Oldenburg State Theatre, Mainz State Theatre and in the independent scene. She has worked with renowned choreographers such as Jan Pusch, Guy Weizmann and Roni Haver, Ina Christel Johannessen, Omar Rajeh, Ann Van den Broek, Sharon Eyal, Koen Augustjinen and Rosalba Torres, and Alexandra Waierstall. Alessandra has created pieces for companies such as tanzmainz and BallettCompagnie Oldenburg, for young audiences and solo works. Alessandra has an MA in contemporary dance pedagogy. She has been a regular guest lecturer for contemporary dance at the HfMDK in Frankfurt am Main since September 2023.
