What is Profitraining?

In different cities across the country, a training space is offered for dance professionals to come together and maintain their practice. The class is commonly referred to as “profitraining.” The class is offered Monday - Friday 10:00 - 11:30. In Frankfurt, the profitraining is organized by Tanzplattform Rhein-Main and hosted by Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm.

Who is it for?

Profitraining is aimed at professional dance practitioners (dancers who have completed a professional training, and /or are working in the scene. Professional performers with a rigorous training practice in other embodied practices like physical theater and circus are also included). Current students of BA-TANZ, MA-CODE, and MA-CUP may attend the training free of charge.

What is a dance professional?

We recognise that the scene is made up of a huge variety of artists of different experiences, interests and backgrounds in dance and performance. However, dancers attending the training must self identify as ‘a dance professional.’

The training takes place Mon - Fri 10:00 - 11:30 on the 4th Floor (Waldschmidtstr. 4, 60316 Frankfurt). Doors of rehearsal stage 3 is open from 09:30 on.

Costs are the following:

Single Class: 6€

Card of 10 Classes: 35€
