As part of his pop-up residency in Frankfurt and Darmstadt, Richard Oberscheven will be giving us a sneak preview of his upcoming production "Physical Memories", which he is developing together with dancers Emma Rasmussen and Maria Stäcker.
After the show, you will have the opportunity to talk to the artists during a feedback session.
Richard Oberscheven works as a dancer, choreographer, dance teacher, vinyl DJ and music producer. He is actively involved in the independent dance scene in Frankfurt and Mannheim. His artistic practice is based on a conscious body that enables discovery, exploration and engagement in movement. Richard's works have been shown at various venues such as Theater Felina-Areal, KunstKulturKirche Allerheiligen, Kulturhaus Frankfurt, smallformatdance, Festival des Nations Luxembourg, Tanzfestival SoloDuo NRW 2019, Stadttheater Gießen and Altenfeuerwache Saarbrücken. 2019 he won the Best Performer category at the International Dance Festival SoloDuo NRW with his solo As I would like. // Website
Emma Rasmussen is a dancer from Denmark. She studied classical and contemporary dance at the Tivoloi Balletschool in Copenhagen and at the HfMBK in Frankfurt and has worked with choreographers such as Tim Rushton, Marguerite Donlon and Isabelle Schad. // Instagram
Maria Stäcker has been practicing improvisational dance and contact improvisation since her early childhood and is currently studying philosophy and sociology at Humboldt University, Berlin. She created her first solo during a month-long workshop with the Butô Company "Motimaru" in summer 2022. She also worked with the interdisciplinary ensemble "Tamé" (cello, textile art, dance), among others. // Instagram
