TROLLEYS is a 20-minute dance performance by Shaun Parker. Accompanied by a rousing orchestral score by composer Nick Wales, five dancers make everyday shopping carts swing, spin and slide. The piece, which originally premiered at the 2012 London Olympics, has since toured worldwide and won numerous awards, including the Argus Angel Award (Brighton Festival, UK). In Darmstadt, TROLLEYS will be presented outdoors on the forecourt of the Staatstheater. This will be followed by a hip-hop workshop with Shaun Parker and the dancers.
