Why Tanz in Schulen (dance in schools)? In which culture and in which educational context did TanzZeit emerge? What has changed to date?

In the forum, Livia Patrizi will give an insight into almost 20 years of dance education in schools - from its origins to the latest developments. We will then discuss milestones and stumbling blocks, transformation processes and the associated challenges and look for answers together - or for new questions.

Livia Patrizi grew up in Naples and studied dance and choreography at the Folkwang University of the Arts, among others. She has had numerous engagements as a dancer, including with the Cullberg Ballet, Mats Ek, Pina Bausch and Maguy Marin. As a freelance choreographer she has shown her productions in several European countries.

Patrizi is the initiator and artistic director of the TanzZeit Berlin program. As a mediation institution, dance venue for young audiences and further education partner, TanzZeit brings together a practice-oriented, extensive and differentiated knowledge of the mediation of dance art in a social context. As part of TANZKOMPLIZEN, she has artistically and dramaturgically accompanied productions that have been shown nationwide and internationally. She has been on the executive board of the Bundesverband Aktion Tanz since 2023. tanzzeit-berlin.de | tanzkomplizen.de
