Everyone can dance

Contemporary dance in particular, with its different approaches and forms of expression, offers good conditions for connecting to the respective movement abilities of the participants. We start by warming up the muscles and mobilizing the joints, we improve our body awareness and experience and expand our own movement possibilities. We explore movement and deal with coordination, dynamics and rhythm. Dance experience is not necessary, just the desire and joy of moving to music.

Petra Lehr is a freelance dancer, choreographer and dance educator. Founder of co.lab.tanztheater in Frankfurt, Pilates trainer, is a member of tamed e.V. (Dance Medicine Germany) and has the certificate Dance Medicine. 

As part of her TakeHeart residency, Petra Lehr is researching developments in the independent scene since the 1970s. At that time Petra started to work freely in the performance and dance field. She is therefore looking for dancers who also work freely, who are willing to talk to her about their experiences or to fill out the questionnaire (also anonymously).
