This course will be an introduction to classical ballet. Alongside the concepts and precise forms of this dance technique, the focus lies on your individual body awareness. Your own physicality serves as the starting point for discovering the classical forms in a personal and authentic way. The targeted body tension in ballet is complemented by approaches from release technique, allowing you to experiment with different levels of muscle tension. This enables the body to remain flexible and agile.
Fanni Schack, a dancer and dance educator from Hungary, studied Dance and Contemporary Dance Pedagogy at the HfMDK Frankfurt. Since 2014, she has worked with various target groups to promote awareness and a sense of community through dance. Her work is based on experiencing movement qualities with active sensory and somatic mindfulness.
