Stepping StoneMentoring program for dance professionals in the Rhine-Main region

As part of the mentoring program "Stepping Stone", Tanzplattform Rhein-Main is awarding 6 places for dance professionals from the Rhine-Main region.

• Are you a young choreographer who has completed your education or studies and is looking to start an independent artistic practice?
• Are you a dancer looking for a professional stage career in a company?
• Are you a professional stage dancer in transition from company work to freelance work?
• Are you a dancer/choreographer who is interested in working in the field of dance education?

The "Stepping Stone" programme is aimed at dance professionals who are in transition within their career or are in the process of becoming professional. We provide each mentee with an experienced mentor to accompany the individual process of transition or reorientation. The aim is to share knowledge and experience, expand networks and broaden one's own fields of opportunity.

Five online meetings between the mentees and mentors will take place from November 2024 to June 2025. In addition, there will be three workshops (23.11.24, 08.03.25 & 24.05.25), organized by Tanzplattform Rhein-Main, with all participants on the following topics, among others: Mentor-mentee relationship, professionalization in independent structures and at state-run venues and working conditions in dance.
