From February 2023, Tanzplattform is offering a new residency in the form of a choreographic laboratory in collaboration with queer crip dancer Tanja Erhart and freelance curator and dramaturge Noa Winter.
The "Labor für Behinderten- und Taubenkultur im Tanz" (Laboratory for Disabled and Deaf Culture) invites five Deaf, disabled and/or chronically ill dance makers to share their respective artistic practices and choreographic working methods in a one-week residency. Questions about the body, dance and choreography are thus negotiated from the multiple perspectives of the experts, standardized ideas of movement and perception are expanded, subverted and scripted by other strategies.
