Morning Yoga for professional dancers
Drawing on the principles of Shadow Yoga, this class offers an intensive introduction to at least one of the basic prelude forms. This practice establishes strength in the legs and core to allow a healthy and coordinated flow of energy throughout the body. It is an intense, slow flowing practice, which ends with asana, short relaxation and meditation. With a focus on integration of stability, strength, alignment and energetic flow through breath, we will come to recognise many basic principles of grounding, weight shift, balance and lightness, that align/connect with our professional dance practices, through this formal yoga practice. This class is only suitable for practitioners with previous movement experience and solid practical knowledge of the body. Class is without music.
