The training focuses on stimulating and subtly tuning the channels of perception, aiming at a readiness and alertness connected to the strength and flexibility of our musculoskeletal system (skeleton/fascia/muscles). Following somatic/contemporary dance techniques (release/contact improvisation/principles of yoga), we move between acts of feeling/visualizing/exploring, connecting with the inner resources and impulses of the moment and interacting with the external environment through an active/receptive body.
With curiosity and joy of play, we engage with the forces of gravity, listen for shifting energies, develop a sense of different qualities of movement, and touch our boundaries as we make choices in the composition of space. Expanding perception and kinesthetic awareness opens up new dimensions in the body's movement potential.
In my artistic practice I have been moving for over 25 years in the field of tension between dance/performance/improvisation. My dance and body knowledge is shaped by a long experience as a dancer with international choreographers, including Anna Huber, Marco Santi, Christoph Winkler, Robert Wilson, furthermore by an intensive collaboration in interdisciplinary/site-specific projects with artists from visual arts, contemporary music, realized in Germany, Japan, Russia, USA. Since 2015 I live in Frankfurt am Main. My current focus is dance education, 2017 graduation of Master of Arts MA CoDE at HfMDK, as well as teaching movement/yoga/contact improvisation in dance/directing/acting at HfMDK Frankfurt. Other institutions include Akademie für Darstellende Kunst Baden- Württemberg, Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch, Berlin, Isadora Duncan School Prague. Funded by the Hessische Kulturstiftung and Dis-Tanz-Solo NEUSTART KUTUR I realized during the Corona-Pandemic various practice-oriented research formats on perceptions and views of body and nature.
