Grenzallee 4-6, 64297 Darmstadt-Eberstadt
Duration: circa 45 Minuten
Chatting, being silent, asking, answering, empathizing, (mis)understanding, acting and reacting. For one season, students and citizens from Eberstadt met weekly with dance artists to try out and explore. Dancing was the language of being together: How do I express myself? What do I take up from the expression of others? What do we experience in the tension between being together and being independent? What common language of togetherness can we develop from this?
The result is a variety of movement landscapes and lively dance stories, told with their own as well as common movement languages, which connect the groups with each other.
"Eberstadt bewegen!" is a cross-generational dance project of the Hessisches Staatsballett and the Dotter-Stiftung within the framework of the Tanzplattform Rhein-Main. The project provides access to contemporary/artistic dance for students and citizens of the Darmstadt-Eberstadt district. The groups share insights into their experiences and processes in a dance presentation of about 45 minutes.
Choreographers: Jungyeon Kim, Adam Shpira-Lintner and Lena Kunz
Performers: Year 3 students from the Wilhelm-Hauff-Schule, from the 8th year of the Gutenbergschule, participants of the Tanzklub Eberstadt.
With the support of Corinna Mazak and Manuela Evers.
Eberstadt bewegen! 2023/24
The intergenerational dance project Eberstadt bewegen! will continue in the coming year and will conclude with a performance.
Dancing makes you happy! That's why Tanzplattform Rhein-Main in Darmstadt, Wiesbaden and Frankfurt will again offer dance clubs in the new season from September 2023 to July 2024. They are aimed at people of different age groups who are not dance professionals, but have a great desire to dance themselves. Each dance club meets once a week. Once a year there is a joint workshop day with all dance clubs. The season is concluded with a joint performance by all dance clubs.
