Contemporary Floorwork

FLOORWORK with Luciano focuses on how to move fluidly in and out of the floor. He will guide you through the limits of your body and support you to find your way through challenging and highly physical combinations. The class explores how to create a more resilient body, through movement culture principles, gymnastics, judo and other methods. With a focus on the wrist, shoulder and neck area, we will look at how these tools can be applied to your own personal practice. This class is suitable for professional dancers, who wish to practice picking up fast, challenging combinations and want to improve their skill set.

Biography

Luciano is an Austrian-born dancer and movement practitioner based in Frankfurt. He holds a BA degree from the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main, where he developed a strong foundation in Contemporary dance and performance. Since 2021, Luciano has been freelancing as a dancer and teacher. He has also been deeply engaged in movement exploration through the Ido Portal Method for the last four years and is currently, a student of Merlin Lang, (direct student of Ido Portal), with whom he further refinesg his understandingresearch of many different physical practices informed by a combination of acrobatics, gymnastics, yoga and calesthenicss. As a teacher, he continues to expand his craft, inspiring others through his passion for movement.
